Kia 10 year 100,000 Mile Warranty | Burlington Kia
Kia Warranty at Burlington Kia
Warranties are a manufacturer’s way of showing they have your back if you chose to make a major purchase from them. Kia Warranty shows just how strongly we back up our vehicle’s quality. Unlike most automakers, Kia stands out with our powertrain warranty that lasts for 100,000 miles or 10 years. At Burlington Kia, we are motivated to get you on the road and help you stay on the road.
Powertrain Warranty
Most new car warranties last for 3 years or 36,000 miles and will also include a separate powertrain warranty which usually lasts 5 years or 60,000 miles. A car’s powertrain is everything that sets a car in motion from the engine, transmission, and driveshaft to the axles and differentials. So, for Kia to have one of the longest powertrain warranties at 10 years or 100,000 miles, goes to show just how confident Kia is in the overall quality of our vehicles. This powertrain warranty was first launched at the beginning of 2008, and since then all Kia models come with this impressive coverage.
What's Included In Kia’s Warranty Coverage
Kia’s 10-year/100,000 miles warranty program has a massive appeal to its customers offering affordable and generously backed vehicles. The 10 year or 100,000-mile warranty program provides the following coverage to new Kia vehicles:
● 10-year/100,000-mile Limited Powertrain Warranty - Applies only to the powertrain
● 5-year/60,000-mile Limited Basic Warranty - Bumper-to-bumper warranty, covers almost all of the vehicle’s elements
● 5-year/100,000-mile Limited Anti-perforation Warranty - Provides protection against corrosion of the exterior body panels from the inside out
● 5-year/60,000-mile Roadside Assistance - Includes towing to the nearest Kia dealer, gas delivery, jump-start assistance, and more
Kia’s roadside assistance is a nice safety net for all drivers since they will have access to Kia toll-free hotline 24/7. There is also no limit to the number of roadside assistance incidents that are covered per car or driver.
What’s Not Included in Kia’s Warranty Coverage
As you know, most manufacturers aren’t going to cover absolutely everything within their warranties. There are some expenses that Kia doesn’t cover either, fortunately, they aren’t major expenses. Some of the things that are not covered by Kia are:
● Wear and tear
● Window scratches and breaks
● Damage from collisions
● Alterations or modifications
● Environmental damage
Unfortunately, Kia’s powertrain warranty is not fully transferable, so once the vehicle is sold, the warranty automatically goes from a 10-year/100,000-mile term to a 5-year/60,000-mile term. Owners are also required to have their Kia serviced at an authorized Kia dealership, in order to receive warranty service.
Everyone wants to have a vehicle that is reliable and affordable to repair and maintain. That’s one of the reasons many look into purchasing a Kia extended warranty. Extended warranties can provide peace of mind throughout the lifetime of the car.
Burlington Kia has helped numerous drivers around the Brick and Trenton areas find the perfect Kia. Contact us today at (609) 531-0771 to learn more about our extended warranties.
